    can t hear any sounds Sorry but OSS4 does not support the SoundBlaster 16 The oldest sound card supported is the SoundBlaster 128 PCI Unfortunely only the older kernels supports the SB16 You can also use USB sound cards as a last resort it s better than nothing Philosophy Politics Q Why do we need another distribution like this Because most of them don t fill my needs Here are the annoying things about most Linux distros They all require a PAE compatible processor They have some big and required dependencies They all are bloated to some extent even LXDE Reason 2 and 3 is also why this distro is not based on Ubuntu Also you may have noticed that i have avoided systemd as much as possible systemd is against the very goal of this project I m not even mentionning the devs not serious about the bugs scripts are hardcoded eats CPU cycles etc Also distros like Damn Small Linux or Tiny core are nice but they are either too much complicated to install or their packages are too old My distro isn t Ubuntu but it s not too complicated to install A newbie with the documentation can install it on a computer RLSD is lightweight and works great on an old computer but there are no documentation on how to install it either So DellardOS is somewhere between Damn Small Linux and Lubuntu Q imma icaza i liek proprietary software n u should 2 How about NO 1 I can t recompile them with Os or strip out useless features because most of them are closed source in nature 2 Some of them do not allow redistribution So even if i wanted to i simply can t without getting my ass sued 3 Some of them
